Terms of Service

Using GuildFinder

GuildFinder is a directory of Discord servers and bots, with optional paid placement, run at guildfinder.me together with the GuildFinder Discord bot. By signing in, listing something, or adding the bot to a server, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use GuildFinder.

GuildFinder is not made by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Discord. Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines still apply to everything you do through Discord.

Who can use it

You need a Discord account in good standing, and you must be old enough to use Discord where you live (at least 13). If you use GuildFinder for a server or a team, you confirm you're allowed to act for them.

Your account

You sign in with Discord. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Don't share it, sell it, or make more than one to get around a limit or a ban.

Listing a server or bot

• Only list a server you own or have Manage Server in, or a bot you develop. Ads only run for listings whose ownership is confirmed.
• What you write has to be accurate. Don't misrepresent what a server or bot is, who runs it, or its numbers.
• GuildFinder is for all ages. Age-restricted servers, adult content, scams, phishing, malware, hate, harassment and anything illegal are not allowed.
• Member counts, online counts and growth come from Discord. Trying to inflate them, or any vote, review, click or join count, is not allowed.
• We may check, edit for formatting, hold for review, hide or remove any listing, at any time, including after reports. The Verified badge means our staff checked a listing at one point in time. It is not a promise about the server or bot.

Votes, reviews and reports

• One account, one person. Votes and reviews from alternate accounts, bots, paid services or vote exchanges are removed, and the accounts involved can be banned.
• Reviews must be about the server or bot and based on your own experience. No harassment, personal information, spam or advertising.
• Reports should be made in good faith. Knowingly false reports are a breach of these terms.
• Don't scrape the site, overload it, get around its limits, or interfere with how it works. Use the public API for data, within fair use.

Ads and AdCoins

• AdCoins are a virtual credit for buying ads on GuildFinder. They have no cash value, can't be exchanged for money, and can't be transferred or sold.
• Coins you earn (daily rewards, votes, referrals) and the amounts and prices of ads can change. Earned coins may be removed if they were gained by breaking these terms.
• Every ad is reviewed by a person before it runs. If we refuse an ad, its coins are returned. If we end an ad early, unused whole days are refunded in coins. Ads you pause keep their remaining days.
• We show results (impressions, clicks, joins) as accurately as we can, but we don't guarantee any number of views, members or joins.
• Your ads must follow the same rules as listings. You're responsible for what they say.

The GuildFinder bot

The bot only asks for the permissions listed on the invite page, and never for Administrator. You can remove it at any time from your server's settings. If you remove it, GuildFinder may stop counting joins and your listing's ownership check may lapse.

Your content

You keep the rights to what you post. By posting it on GuildFinder, you let us store, display, adapt for layout, and promote it on GuildFinder and the bot, for as long as it's listed and for a reasonable time after for backups and records. You confirm you have the right to post it, including any images.

Our content

GuildFinder's name, logo, design and code belong to us. The public API and widgets may be used to link to and show listings, with credit to GuildFinder.

Suspension and ending

We can suspend or end access, remove listings, reviews or ads, or reset counts if we believe these terms were broken or to protect people using GuildFinder. You can stop using GuildFinder at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account through the contact page.

No guarantees

GuildFinder is provided as it is and as available. We don't promise it will always work, be free of errors, or that any server or bot listed is safe, active or as described. Join servers and add bots at your own judgement. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for anything that happens in servers or with bots listed here. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that can't be limited by law.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we make a significant change, we'll show it on the site or tell you in a notification. Continuing to use GuildFinder after that means you accept the new terms.
